Trained drivers provide round-trip transportation in lift-outfitted vans for those who need this service.
The Fort Mill / Tega Cay Adult Day Center has two well-equipped vans, one car, two regular drivers, and one reserve driver.
Each van is equipped with chair lifts, wheelchair restraints, safety rails, and other safety devices dictated by regulation and common sense.
The drivers are certified in CPR and First Aid, take driver training every year, are trained in special lifting techniques, and equipped with cellphones for communicating with the center and emergency services if necessary.
The vehicles are cleaned twice a day, inspected every day, and receive regular maintenance check-ups.
