Good, wholesome food is essential to the health and well being of everyone. When clients arrive at the center, they are provided a breakfast or morning snack consisting of something like toast, juice, and coffee. This meal is prepared by the dietary staff of the facility.
The midday meal is nutritionally balanced according to accepted guidelines. It is prepared by a firm which specializes in providing meals to adult care facilities like ours. The meal is served by the center staff under the supervision of the dietary manager. In one typical week the entrees were
Each entree is accompanied by vegitables, bread, dessert, fruit (if available), and low-fat milk.
Prior to leaving for the day, each client is served a snack.
The clients are served three fresh fruits each week.
All meals or snacks are prepared in and served from the centers modern, clean and well lit kitchen.
