York Day Center has two well-equipped buses, one van, and three drivers.
Each vehicle is equipped with chair lifts, wheelchair restraints, safety rails, and other safety devices dictated by regulation and common sense.
The drivers are certified in CPR and First Aid, take driver training every year, are trained in special lifting techniques, and equipped with cellphones for communicating with the center and emergency services if necessary.
The vehicles are cleaned and inspected daily and receive regular maintenance check-ups.
